Announcement 2PMINZ National Conference 2007 Lights! Camera! Action! Newsflash! February 12, 2007. From the Director’s office... In this bulletin:
In October 2007, PMI New Zealand will once again lead the evolution of project management awareness, networking and professional practice. The National Conference is now the well-established premier event in New Zealand’s project management calendar. Attendance this year is expected to be upwards of 350 delegates from within New Zealand and overseas. Building on our well-deserved reputation as the film and creative capital of New Zealand (some might say the world!), our theme of Lights! Camera! Action! provides a wonderful opportunity to showcase the best, the brightest, and even outright zany aspects of modern project management. It is with great pleasure that we invite you to join us in Wellington between 17-20 October 2007 for this stimulating, informative and educational occasion. For more information or to get involved, email conference@pmi.org.nz
Opportunities are now available for a limited number of Premier Sponsors (Platinum, Silver or Gold), many Associate Sponsors, and Exhibitors. Premier Sponsors will enjoy a campaign of exposure both before and during the Conference. This will include monthly pre-Conference updates, recognition in all pre-Conference issues of the monthly PMI e-News (available to 1,200+ PMINZ members) and exposure on correspondence relating to the Conference. Associate Sponsors have a wide range of specific opportunities, and Exhibitors will have a wide range of display options – just ask us for more details! For more information or to get involved, email confsponsor@pmi.org.nz
If you want to be on stage, we have openings for you! Seminar and paper presenters have already started indicating their interest… but it’s not too late for you too! Can you act? sing? dance? make us laugh? make us cry? We want people who can present papers and run workshops that will help us develop skills, understand the theories, let us learn from experience, and show us how to connect all of this to the programmes and projects that occupy so much of our daily lives. We intend to issue a formal call for abstracts in early March, with a closing date around Easter (early April this year). If you’d like to be certain of getting that audition call, just let us know that you’re interested, and we’ll add you to the list. For more information or to get involved, email confpaper@pmi.org.nz
